Flywheel Ring Gear Assembly Exported to Malaysia

A customer of an automobile transmission system manufacturer has a batch of flywheel ring gear assemblies to be exported to Malaysia. These assemblies have to go through domestic land transportation to the port, sea transportation, and storage in a local warehouse in Malaysia for a total of 12 months. The customer chose our anti static VCI film plus a thin layer of anti-rust oil to accelerate the effect of desiccant combination anti-rust solution, after a complete storage and transportation cycle feedback, all the metal parts of the flywheel ring gear assembly did not rust, and the customer was very satisfied.

The tooth part of the flywheel ring gear has high accuracy, many gaps, and a large surface area of the flywheel. It is easy to oxidize after long-term contact with air, and it is difficult for ordinary anti-rust methods to resist humid environments for a long time. We have customized a plan for our customers: first, a thin layer of anti-rust oil is evenly coated on the metal surface of the flywheel ring gear assembly. This layer of oil film is very thin and will not affect the assembly accuracy of the assembly, but it can lock the metal surface and prevent direct contact with moisture, and then anti static VCI film wraps the assembly as a whole. Anti static VCI film can release gas phase anti-rust molecules and penetrate into fine parts such as tooth gaps, and the sealing of anti static VCI film can also isolate salt spray and dust from the outside world, and then put a quick-acting desiccant in each package to quickly absorb moisture in the package and provide comprehensive protection to the product.

Starting from the customer's factory and inspecting after arriving in Hong Kong, the anti static VCI film flywheel assembly did not loose due to bumps at sea. When the warehouse was opened 12 months later, all flywheel ring gear assemblies were taken out for inspection. There is no rust, and it can be installed directly on the engine.
